Summary
The Project Coordinator and Production Expeditor serves as a vital link between Sales, Operations, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Logistics, suppliers, and customers. The role ensures smooth flow of materials, information, and timelines across the production and project lifecycle. Acting as a coordinator, problem-solver, and communicator, the position is critical in maintaining efficiency, mitigating risks, and ensuring on-time project and production delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for all project-related communication between Sales, Operations, Engineering, and customers.
- Ensure smooth flow of materials, information, and timelines across projects and production activities.
- Interact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Review and monitor production and project schedules, deadlines, and milestones, and make adjustments as required.
- Track orders and ensure timely fulfillment in line with delivery commitments.
- Monitor supply chain activities and inventory levels; inform management about reordering requirements.
- Work closely with Procurement and operations teams to manage timelines and address potential delays.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production or project process.
- Conduct supplier visits to monitor production activities including sourcing, cutting, welding, quality checks, finishing, labeling, bundling, and dispatch.
- Identify, resolve, or escalate issues related to delayed shipments, quality concerns, or unexpected supply chain changes.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to suppliers.
- Provide regular updates to Project Managers and management on material, equipment, and project status.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks affecting project timelines or supply continuity.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on materials, inventory, production progress, and equipment status.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Perform any other official duties as assigned by Management.
