Job Summary
Supports operations by managing firm-wide financial performance, communicating results with owners and partners, presenting financial forecasting models, assisting in developing and maintaining the annual budget, overseeing AP, AR, and payroll functions, procuring and maintaining insurance policies, ensuring compliance with annual insurance audits, coordinating with outside accountants for tax preparation and planning, and remitting various taxes including sales & use, property, franchise, and federal income taxes.
Reports directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors, serving as a key member of the executive leadership team for DLB, a rapidly growing professional services firm with 800 employees across 45 states, delivering complex infrastructure, advanced facilities, and data center projects nationwide. This role requires experience with mergers and acquisitions as well as globalization strategies to support the firm’s continued expansion.
Operates with a high degree of autonomy, independently performing day-to-day responsibilities, leading project teams and initiatives of complex scope, coordinating activities of other personnel, and assisting in the development of policies and procedures.
Acts as a strategic financial advisor to firm leadership, providing insights that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and long-term financial strategy. Partners with senior leaders across the organization to identify financial risks and opportunities, align financial planning with organizational objectives, and ensure sustainable profitability.
Communicates and operates in alignment with organizational goals, values, and departmental objectives, fostering a finance function that supports both operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Accounting
Leads all financial operations, including preparation of accurate and timely statements and reports for management, the CEO, the Board, and external stakeholders. Oversees monthly closings, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, ensuring compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Directs budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives, analyzing performance and departmental or project profitability to guide capital allocation, risk management, and strategic decisions.
