POSITION SUMMARY
The Annual Giving Director (AGD) is an integral and senior member of the Advancement team, leading all annual fundraising efforts across the entire donor experience continuum. This role manages fundraising relationships with all school constituencies including current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, employees, and friends of the school. The AGD is responsible for directing a cohesive and metrics driven annual giving program, coordinating digital and print appeals, participation campaigns, the annual Gala & Auction, direct marketing emails, the overall CGF brand, volunteer management, and stewardship. This position leads a team which includes a leadership giving officer and a Gala & Auction contractor; together this team is responsible for the success of the Catlin Gabel Fund every year.
Pay Range-$88,000 - $95,000/year
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12 month role.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Catlin Gabel Fund (CGF) goals in dollars raised, participation, acquisition and retention targets through fundraising appeals, the Gala & Auction, soliciting donors of all levels, volunteers, and other innovative approaches.
- Meet all goals set with the Chief Advancement Officer, focused on annual leadership giving and personalized approaches.
- Direct Manager of a leadership giving officer who manages a portfolio of donors and prospective donors and solicits gifts between $3,000 - $10,000.
- Professional engagement with the Gala & Auction Contractor who supports the execution of the event under the leadership and vision set by the ASD in collaboration with the CAO.
- Design and execute a calendar of annual fundraising campaigns including (but not limited to) a Fall Appeal, Giving Tuesday, End of Year, the Gala & Auction, Alumni Give Day, and Spring Fun(d) Run.
- Write appeals, newsletter stories, website content updates, etc. - function as the written "CGF voice" for Advancement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with donors across all constituencies: current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, employees, and friends of the school.
- Directly solicit CGF gifts from unmanaged donors and prospective donors. While this position does not carry a formal portfolio of donors/prospective donors, they are responsible for meeting the CGF goals and ensuring all Lybunts remain active, and Participation, Retention, and Acquisition targets are met.
- Work collaboratively with Prospect Relationship Managers (PRMs) ensuring front-line fundraising projections are on track for the CGF while assisting with lead generation and upgrading donors to continually strengthen the annual giving pipeline.
- Manage and execute the stewardship process for all gifts including receipts and acknowledgement letters.
- Manage and execute a volunteer leadership program, the CGF Ambassadors, including parents, alumni and employee representatives.
- Provide active oversight of Catlin Gabel's corporate matching gifts, ensuring appropriate outreach and that the school stays abreast of existing and new opportunities.
- Provide comprehensive reporting and analysis for each CGF campaign including participation rates per constituent group, dollars raised, ROI analysis, and engagement metrics for all outreach efforts to inform future CGF strategy.
- Prepare regular reports on annual fund progress for school leadership, Trustees, and committees.
- Actively collaborate with Adv. Services on NXT reports, and update donor lists and graphics to track progress and support volunteer solicitors,
- Generate constituent lists for donor solicitations and fundraising reports as needed for the CGF.
- Collaborate with the Marketing -Communications team, and with outside vendors, as needed, to create collateral and graphics to support appeals and other program needs.
- Evenings or weekends are sometimes required.
