Overview:
Allied Global Marketing is seeking an experienced Director, Media to lead digital media strategy and execution for a key ticketed entertainment client. The Director will be responsible for developing and overseeing comprehensive media campaigns including paid social, paid search, video, display, programmatic, and other digital advertising channels.
This position requires a strategic and tactical professional who excels at balancing client relationships, team leadership, and campaign execution in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong media expertise, innovative thinking, and the ability to translate client objectives into effective media strategies that drive measurable results.
The Director, Media plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining client relationships, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring campaign excellence. This individual will lead a team of media planners and buyers, establish best practices, and serve as a key strategic advisor to clients. The qualified candidate must be comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, with the ability to guide team execution while contributing to higher-level planning and innovation.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies that align with client business objectives
- Lead and mentor a team of media professionals, providing guidance on campaign planning and optimization
- Present strategic recommendations directly to clients and internal stakeholders with confidence and clarity
- Balance strategic direction with hands-on campaign management when needed
- Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, opportunities and actionable insights
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on media strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated campaign execution
- Stay current on emerging media platforms, technologies, and best practices
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and with maximum effectiveness
- Contribute to new business efforts and agency growth initiatives
Qualifications:
- 6+ years digital media strategy, planning and buying experience with 1+ years in a leadership role
- Proven success developing and executing multi-channel media campaigns
- Hands-on experience managing Meta and Google ad platforms is a must
- Strong understanding of media planning principles, audience targeting, and performance optimization
- Experience managing teams and guiding junior staff members
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships at the director level
- Proficiency with Paid Search, Paid Social, YouTube, Programmatic, CTV advertising
- Experience with data integration, measurement frameworks, and performance analysis
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with entertainment brands is a plus
