The Maintenance Technician I will be responsible for maintaining the condition of the manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to repairing and/or the replacement of failed components and preforming preventive maintenance measures when applicable. This role is responsible for developing short and /or long-term repairs that are geared towards improving quality as well as efficiency.
• Basic maintenance task, such as greasing, oiling, grinding, drilling, disassembling and reassembling simple and complex machine parts.
• Ability to follow maintenance procedures and maintain proper documentations, drawings, and files. Knowledgeable in hydraulic and pneumatic controls, materials, and components.
•Operate, set, and regulate/adjust machinery.
• Use hand-held tools/machinery/instruments, both manual and powered precision and non-precision.
• Is responsible for developing short and /or long-term repairs that are geared towards improving quality as well as efficiency.
• Support efforts to meet line product Defects Per Million Opportunities, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, and Scrap goals and equipment Mean Time Between Failures goals
• Participate in the advance process and quality planning (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities for new equipment
• Electrical & Electronic Troubleshooting of machine issues.
• Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment per manufacturer guidelines, and on the job training.
• Perform corrective & preventive maintenance.
• Interpret schematic, pneumatic & writing diagrams.
• Work with engineers and managers for coordination of line moves, installations, and other improvement activities.
• Working cooperatively as a team with engineering, operations, logistics, quality and environmental health and safety departments.
• Establish and maintain productive and effective working relationships with team members and other maintenance team members.
• Ability to mentor, and train operations personnel in proper machine maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge, use and understanding of general purpose measuring instruments.
• Understands and complies with all procedures pertaining to a given work environment; assists in designing improvements to the work environment.
• Participate, comply and support the environmental, health and safety system requirements.
• Utilize prior knowledge, manufacturer guidelines, and on-the-job training to perform daily activities in a safe and effective way.
• Reduce downtime by working efficiently and performing countermeasures aimed at root cause analysis.
• Safely execute workplace rules and standards.
• Monitor the safety, quality, and productivity of the production machinery, and equipment.
• Exercise knowledge of industrial electricity, including single-phase and three-phase power, motors, protective device, and photo sensors.
• Complete work order processes documentation for complete work history and parts inventory tracking.
• Submit and assist with the creation and resolution of Continuous Improvements.
