Supply Incident & Action Request (SIAR) Change AnalystWork Location: ONSITE â Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.
About the Role:
Brooks is a prominent leader in the semiconductor industry, known for our innovative technology and sustainable solutions. As part of our strategic expansion in Malaysia, we are seeking an experiencedSIAR Change Analyst to report into theSourcingteam to manage and drivesupplier related changes.
The SIAR Change Analystis responsible formanaging, coordinating, andvalidatingsupplier relatedchanges and incidents within the semiconductor supply chain. This role ensures that all Supplier Incident Action Requests (SIARs), supplier change notifications (PCNs), and corrective actions are properly documented,riskassessed andimplemented according to semiconductor quality and reliability standards.
The SIAR Change Analyst workscross functionallywith SQE, Engineering, Operations, Planning, and suppliers to protect production continuity andmaintainthe highest levels of product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Incident & Change Management
Receive, log, and process Supplier Incident Action Requests (SIARs) and supplier change notifications (PCNs).
Reviewchange proposals for technical impact, manufacturability, quality risks, and supply continuity.
Ensure all supplier changes follow industry standards (e.g., JEDEC, AECQ100/200 for automotive semiconductors).
Track and follow up on supplier corrective action plans until closure.
2. Risk Assessment & Impact Evaluation
Performend-to-endimpact analysis of supplier changesonmanufacturing processes, yield performance, equipment setups, and customer specifications.
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to assess risks to product performance and reliability.
Support creation of risk mitigation plans, including material qualification, sample testing, process audits, and line trials.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination
Facilitate SIAR review meetings with SQE, R&D, Planning, Operations, and Procurement.
Communicate supplier change impact, timelines, and required actions to internal stakeholders.
Work closely with Planning to manage materialcut in, lasttimebuy decisions, or inventory segregation.
4. Supplier Interface
Coordinate with suppliers on SIAR/PCN documentation, corrective action reports (8D, 5-Why), andevidencesubmissions.
Ensure supplierscomply withsemiconductor change notification requirements (typically 90â180 daysadvance notice).
Support SQE in supplier audits, change verification, and process readiness checks.
5. Documentation & System Management
Maintainaccuraterecords of all SIARs, PCNs, and change implementation status in the internal quality system.
Ensure full traceability of affected materials and part numbers.
Prepare reports and dashboards on SIAR status, cycle time, trend analysis, and compliance metrics.
6. Compliance & Customer Requirements
Ensure supplier changes align with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and semiconductor industry quality standards.
Supportcustomer specificrequests for PCN approval, documentation submission, and qualification test results.
Participate in audits, customer inquiries, and regulatory compliance activities.
7. Any other duties or projects assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
Bachelorâs degree in Engineering(Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial) or similar technical discipline.
Experience
5- 7yearsâ experiencein semiconductor manufacturing/capital equipment/industrial/robotics, supplier quality, process engineering, or change management.
Experience handling PCNs, supplier corrective actions, or quality incident management is preferred.
Familiarity with semiconductor processes (wafer fabrication, assembly, test, packaging) is a strong advantage.
PMP or other project management certifications/experiencewill be highly desirable
Skills
Strong analytical skills and understanding of engineering change impact(checklist, data validation, audit-ready documentation).
Good knowledge of problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA).
Solid communication skills to interact with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Competent in reading technical specifications, BOMs/drawings,understandingFFFimpactsto route intelligently, datasheets, and process change documentation.
Hands-on on PLM change control experience(ECR/ECO/MCO/DCO); Oracle Agile is anaddedadvantage.Proficiencywith quality systems, ERPs, or PCN/SIAR tracking tools.Familiaritywith Copy Exact, EOL/PCN h
