As the Supplier Quality Engineer – India, you will play a pivotal role in driving supplier performance and continuous improvement across our regional procurement and manufacturing network. Reporting to the Senior Supplier Quality Manager - MEA/EAP, this position requires a proactive professional with strong analytical, technical, and leadership skills to establish, implement, and continuously improve Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Supplier Quality Development (SQD) processes across India-based suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement Supplier QA/QC systems aligned with the EAP procurement and quality strategy.
- Evaluate new and existing suppliers in India to ensure compliance with product, cost, quality, capacity, and process requirements, as well as customer and internal system standards.
- Ensure the technical requirements at supplier before start of production i.e. drawing, QAP and technical specification.
- Ensure the raw materials test certificates and consumables certificates according to drawing, QAP and technical specifications.
- Conduct visual and measurement inspections of products/materials as per QAP, drawing & technical specifications to ensure quality compliance.
- Having sound knowledge of welding standards, manufacturing processes and Testing standards.
- Quality Control Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of formwork components to identify defects and document the non-conformities through detailed RCA, followed by CAPA.
- Identify the area for quality improvements and recommend the process simplification.
- Monitor and report supplier performance through key metrics, scorecards, and risk dashboards, providing actionable input to the Procurement and Category teams.
- Assess supplier capacity on a periodic basis and communicate any limitations or risks to relevant internal stakeholders to support proactive decision-making.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to align on technical requirements and support design changes, capacity expansions and new product introductions.
Introduce and promote Lean methodologies, supplier scorecards, and structured audit systems to drive compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement.
