The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and analysing tests on components and complete vehicles. This role is critical in validating product design, performance, durability, and compliance with internal specifications and external regulations.
Your key responsibilities:
- Based upon input from Systems and Lead Engineers develop and author detailed test plans, test cases, and procedures, to evaluate engineering specifications and design requirements.
- Set up test fixtures, test methods, processes and instrumentation.
- Evaluate and report performance, durability, and reliability, for new and existing products.
- Perform field and lab tests on prototypes and production machines, including functional tests, durability tests, structural tests, and performance evaluations.
- Operate the test in a safe and controlled manner. And accurately collect, record, and manage test data.
- Analyse test data to evaluate machine performance against targets, identify failure modes, and understand root causes of issues.
