AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Project Management Director to be based in the New York, New York area working in the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group with a focus in Design-Build delivery.
- Fulfill the role of Project Director for multiple design-build transit rail projects in the NY Metro area, ensuring successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
- Assist the PM team to manage a multi-discipline design team to produce high quality design deliverables, meet schedules and stay within project budgets
- Lead the pursuit phase of design-build procurements including teaming decisions, budgeting, scheduling and conceptual design development
- Develop strategies for teaming and partnerships with local NYC contractors that specialize in Transit Rail projects
- Oversee project budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control measures to ensure projects remain within approved funding parameters
- Manage project schedules, track milestone completion, and implement corrective actions to maintain timeline adherence
- Resolve complex issues through collaborative problem-solving and strategic decision-making with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate closely with clients, contractors, and project partners to maintain transparent communication and alignment on project objectives
- Manage contract administration, including scope management, change orders, and vendor performance oversight
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality assurance protocols for all project deliverables
