We are seeking a Professional Urban Planner for our Urbanism & Planning team, based out of Melbourne. The successful candidate will be keen to work in a collaborative environment with a team of urban planners, urban designers, landscape architects and architects, as well as all our cross-business line technical specialists, in our ANZ Urbanism & Planning team, which forms part of AECOMs Buildings and Places team.

How you’ll make a difference:
- Support various planning projects and support to our directors and project managers in preparing high-quality planning reports, due diligence assessments, and approval documentation for major infrastructure projects. Ensure projects run to schedule and budget and deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.
- Contribute to the development and coordination of planning assessments for large-scale transport and energy projects, including airports and other complex developments.
- Undertake research, policy reviews, and analysis to inform project planning strategies, approval pathways, and compliance with statutory planning requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across AECOM to support delivery of planning inputs on major project approvals, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with client and regulatory expectations.
- In your client-facing role, deliver high-quality project outcomes and support directors in generating future business for the broader planning team. Actively participate in the development of high-quality fee proposals and bids.
