APRNcaregiver in this positionworksvarying afternoons andnights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM. Working48 hoursper 6-week period isrequired.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide orassistwith patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as takingvital signsandweight,assistingpatients with personal care,point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoringdevicesand removing urinary Foley catheters.
Report abnormal findings or changes in physical,mentaland emotional conditions to an RN.
Assistwith keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
HighSchoolDiploma or GED
Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Crossupon or within new hire period
Nursing studentswho have completed one clinical rotation from a nursing school:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Crossrequiredupon hire
Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience
Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) considered
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
