SGS Australia is looking for Casual Coal Technician in Mt Thorley, NSW.
Flexibility is critical as you may be required to complete day, afternoon and/or night shifts on weekdays or weekends. Please note, this role involves significant regular manual handling of samples up to 15+ kg throughout your shift.
Working as part of a fast-paced, team, you will be responsible for:
- Accurately conducting physical coal testing and analysis of routine samples, including crushing, weighing, drying, milling and sieving.
- Collection of samples from client mine site washeries.
- Recording, sorting and storing coal samples as required.
- On-the-job training to meet compliance with analytical methods, procedures and SGS Quality Systems & onsite HSE Standards.
- Day to day upkeep of equipment.
- Delivery of samples to both internal and external customers.
