As a Clinical Pharmacist, a caregiver in this role will provide primarily decentralized clinical pharmacy services to general inpatient populations. Working as part of a team of approximately 36 caregivers, this role combines clinical responsibilities on nursing units with operational dispensing from the main pharmacy. The caregiver will provide patient education, participate in residency program support and have opportunities to contribute to research initiatives. Responsibilities also include occasional centralized pharmacy coverage. The caregiver will also respond to codes and stroke alerts, collaborating with the care team to support safe, effective and timely medication management.
A caregiver in this role will work 7:00am to 3:30pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm. Occasional evening shifts will be 12:30pm to 9:00pm. Weekend requirements are approximately 10 per year.
