Indian River Hospital’s 3 South/3 NorthIntermediate Cardiac Care/ProgressiveCareUnitcares for patientsthat require a higher level of monitoring, including telemetry. Clinical scenarios may include non-invasive ventilation for respiratory stabilization (CPAP/biPAP), invasive ventilation with tracheostomy, or stabilizing patients on a nitroglycerine drip.As aNew GradRN Residenton the team, you will work with fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.

A caregiver in this position worksnights from6:45PM – 7:15AM, with weekend and holiday requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside asuccesscoach.
Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patientpreferenceand resource availability).
Respond to dataindicatingrisk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
Seeksupervision,consultationandassistancewhen unable to perform safely and independently.
Documentinpatients’ medical records.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross
New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
