AECOM is searching for a Senior Construction Inspector for municipal infrastructure projects in this new role. Projects primarily consist of road reconstructions, water distribution, sanitary/storm pipelines and water resources and are based in and around the Leamington, ON area.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaison on site with contractor, client, other approving authorities, including addressing resident concerns
- Oversee daily on-site operations
- Work closely with the Project Engineer and Project Manager, to ensure construction is in compliance with project specifications
- Preparation and maintenance of daily work logs and other project documentation and reporting;
- Schedule and conduct regular project meetings with the contractor and client
- Provide clarification of drawings and direction to the contractor, with remote support from the Project Engineer
- Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Carry out surveys and measurements for quantity calculations
- Complete surveys for the preparation of record drawings
- Participates in deficiency reviews, testing and commissioning.
- Assist with the preparation of the Project Construction Completion and Final Acceptance Certificate; and
- Follow AECOM Safety Policies and promote them by example
- Training of entry-level employees.
