As a Physical Therapist, you willutilizevarious treatments to help patients increase strength, range of motion,enduranceand coordination. This opening covers Akron area outpatient locations including: Green Health & Wellness, Bath Health & Wellness, Stow Health & Wellness, Tallmadge, Lakemore and our Akron General Rehab & Sports Therapy location on White Pond Drive.
A PRN caregiver in this position works varyingshifts, Monday-Friday, between7:00AM – 7:30PM, with 1 late day until 6:30pm and 1 late day until 7pm. Hours will vary based on clinic need.
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:
Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Perform initial andon-goingassessments ofpatient'scondition.
Establish,reviseand evaluate a plan of care which isappropriate toproblemsidentifiedand involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
Perform therapy interventionsutilizingstandard physical therapy techniques and skills asappropriate forthe age and condition of the patient.
Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants,studentsand other support personnel.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree or certificate
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
