At AECOM, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Dublin office.
This role is primarily site-based, with attendance on site required four days per week and one day per week available for remote working.
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager with 15+ years' experience delivering major commercial, building, and civil infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle. Working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee multidisciplinary project teams, and lead the successful delivery of high-profile developments from project inception through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
In this role, you will play a key leadership role in delivering a major, multi-year capital investment programme transforming a nationally significant infrastructure asset.
We encourage applications from candidates with:
- Extensive experience working with the NEC Suite of Contracts in a client, contractor, or consultancy environment.
- Proven experience delivering projects within the aviation sector or other operationally complex, live infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrated success delivering major capital infrastructure programmes with responsibility for cost, schedule, risk, governance, and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring Project Managers.
- Strong client-facing, commercial, and leadership skills with experience managing senior stakeholder relationships.
What you'll do
Programme Leadership, Governance & Performance
- Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of projects, ensuring delivery against programme objectives for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and risk.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Project Execution Plans aligned with the Contracting Entity's governance, standards, and delivery methodologies.
- Act as the primary interface with senior client representatives, including the Airport Transformation Manager and Programme Director.
- Drive programme governance, reporting, decision-making, and performance management across multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead commercial, contractual, and risk management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering projects across the programme portfolio.
- Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and commercial oversight to ensure consistent delivery excellence.
- Develop and oversee programme resource planning to ensure effective utilisation of project teams.
- Review and approve key project deliverables, reports, forecasts, and governance documentation.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing project culture focused on continuous improvement and client satisfaction.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Lead the coordination of complex multidisciplinary projects and manage critical project interfaces.
- Oversee consultant, contractor, and stakeholder performance throughout design and construction.
- Chair senior project, design, and governance meetings, ensuring timely decisions and effective communication.
- Manage programme-level risk, change control, and issue resolution processes.
- Ensure effective management of design development, approvals, and construction delivery.
- Prepare and present executive-level programme reports, KPIs, and performance updates to senior stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management systems, governance processes, and delivery methodologies.
