We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing construction planning, scheduling, and supervision activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, technical construction expertise, and the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning software and methodologies
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Monitor project progress against established timelines and budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
- Prepare detailed progress reports and performance metrics for project stakeholders and management
- Manage resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to ensure quality standards and adherence to construction specifications
- Identify and analyze project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve planning conflicts and technical issues
- Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, safety standards, and local building codes
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, change orders, and correspondence
- Provide technical guidance and support to site supervisors and construction teams
- Analyze construction methodologies and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity
