What will I be doing?
Supporting Sales, Marketing and Tendering departments with regards to pre-qualification, proposals and post tender submissions such as technical presentations.
Ensuring that available standard technical information, documentation details and drawings are used to design; consider feedback of previous contractors (e.g. information available from commissioning).
Preparation and validation (internal or via VWT) of controlled process design documentation (e.g. Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID diagrams, process control philosophy) in compliance with relevant design standards, statutory obligations and regulations.
Supporting commissioning and service teams with regards to optimising plants and resolving process issues.
Supervising Design Engineers, Group Leaders and CAD Designers during proposal design period and ensuring that programmed and design requirements are achieved.
Ensuring that the products and system design will not give rise to harm when operated within the recommended parameters. Key areas of responsibility include:
Ensuring that any products or systems are safe in use.
Ensuring that the products or systems designed meet current Health and Safety legislation in all markets in which the product or system is to be sold
That adequate information is provided describing the correct safe operation of the product or system, highlighting any risks associated with its operation or maintenance.
Where appropriate to provide documented design risk assessments to demonstrate that any risks arising in the implementation of a system have been identified and addressed.
