The Room Attendant at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to hotel guests. The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in creating a positive and comfortable experience for guests during their stay. This is a seasonal position with a tentative end date of December 31st.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms.
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing or damaged items.
- Report maintenance concerns, lost and found items, and guest requests to the appropriate department.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas.
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and guest belongings.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and special room requirements.
- Maintain productivity and complete assigned rooms within established timeframes.
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, security, and housekeeping procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to guests and colleagues.
