What You Will Be Doing:
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring service standards and brand expectations are consistently met
- Drive a culture of accountability, empowerment, and engagement within the team
- Ensure five-star cleanliness standards across guest rooms, public areas, and heart-of-house spaces
Guest Experience
- Address guest concerns promptly, ensuring quick follow-up and memorable recovery
- Monitor guest satisfaction indicators and implement service-improvement strategies
People Development & Colleague Engagement
- Mentor, coach, and develop colleagues through ongoing training, feedback, and recognition
- Conduct performance evaluations and support talent development and succession planning
- Support action planning from the Colleague Engagement Survey
Administration & Financial Stewardship
- Assist the Director of Housekeeping in payroll, scheduling, inventory control, uniforms, linens, and supply management
- Maximize room revenue through productivity optimization and cost-control measures
- Maintain accurate departmental reporting, including KPIs and operational analytics
Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Promote a safe working environment by managing attendance, incident reporting, hazard prevention, and return-to-work programs
- Collaborate with Engineering to support preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure effective Lost & Found procedures
- Promote health, safety, and wellbeing by maintaining in-depth knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures
- Implement all Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance action plans and track year-over-year improvement
Collaboration & Culture
- Contribute to a positive hotel culture aligned with the needs of our colleagues, guests, owners, and brand
- Actively participate in hotel committees
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
- Champion Fairmont’s sustainability and environmental stewardship initiatives
