In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.

A caregiver in this position worksnightsfrom7:00PM – 7:30AM,including rotating weekends and holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will: 

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs. 

• Provide direct nursing care alongside asuccesscoach. 

• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patientpreferenceand resource availability). 

• Respond to dataindicatingrisk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk. 

• Seeksupervision,consultationandassistancewhen unable to perform safely and independently. 

• Documentinpatients’ medical records. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) 

• New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or ALS through the American Red Crossupon hire or within one year of employment

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Crossupon hire or within one year of employment

• Completion of Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC – adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC – pediatric) uponhireorwithin24 monthsof beginning work in the Emergency Department
