We areseekinga compassionate and skilledPhysical Therapistto join ourInpatient Acute Careteam. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based treatments to help patients improve strength, range of motion, endurance, coordination, and overall functional mobility. Because many patients are experiencing pain, this position requires sensitivity,strong communicationskills, and the ability to build trusting relationships through hands-on patient care.
Responsibilities include evaluating and treatingorthopedic and sports-related patients, as well as providing care for other physical therapy patients as needed.New graduates are welcome to apply, with preference given to candidates who have prior experience working with athletes.
A caregiver in this positionworks part time| 9:30am – 6:00pm Thursday’s (subject to change on the day), 1 half day 2:00pm – 6:00pm and the day can very, 3 Sunday’s a month is needed for this role. 4-6 hours dependent on case load| holiday rotations.
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:
Perform initial andon-goingassessments ofpatient'scondition.
Establish,reviseand evaluate a plan of care which isappropriate toproblemsidentifiedand involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
Perform therapy interventionsutilizingstandard physical therapy techniques and skills asappropriate forthe age and condition of the patient.
Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants,studentsand other support personnel.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree or certificate
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Experience in a clinical area
Dry needling background
1-2 years of inpatient and Acute Care experience
