Our specialists work together in a coordinated team environment to provide innovative and compassionate clinical care.By joining the Nephrology team as a Medical Assistant, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. You will assist with medication management, patient monitoring, administrativetasksand more.You may also travel to Tradition Hospital and Tiffany, depending on the provider’s schedule.All your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes. A caregiver in this position worksMonday-Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.
Martin North will be the primary work location, but floating to Tradition and Tiffany will berequired, as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assistwith performing screening and treatments by gathering information related to health maintenance, collectingspecimensand documenting patient care.
Update health maintenance at patient visits, accuratelyidentifiesmedicationchanges,andupdatesallergy information at each visit.
Monitor andcommunicatechanges in patient condition.
Administerspecific medications underthe directionofthe provider.
Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking,cleaningand troubleshooting.
Maintain examination areas.
Assistin pre-visit planning by updating the health maintenance tab.
Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, dataentryand patient registration.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting Program
Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
Currentdemonstratedclinicalproficiency
Completion of a clinical externshipor extensive clinical experience
Basic Life Support (BLS)certificationthroughtheAmerican Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Crossrequiredwithin new hire period
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
CMA, NCMAorCCMA certification
Successful completion of CC Externship
