The Head of Civil Engineering is responsible for implementing the maintenance procedures policy defined by the Technical Director and help ensuring compliance, availability and optimal operation of airport Civil infrastructure and systems.
Responsible for program , coordinate, Implementation preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for Civil infrastructure including aeronautical pavement and airside infrastructures airside, buildings, landside as per regulatory maintenance procedures and requirements
Manage all maintenance activities performed by the assistant engineers, civil technicians and the subcontractors, make sure it is implemented on a timely manner as per the maintenance Manuals, procedures and regulations
Full implementation of the maintenance procedures plans, activities and reporting through computerized Maintenance management activities
Analyze all maintenance report and take actions immediately for corrections by raising requests, escalations, call for interventions
Trigger and coordinate corrective maintenance operations and tasks carried out in-house or by subcontractors on timely manner
Monitor the infrastructure and systems under his/her responsibility
Ensure the conformity and proper functioning of all civil infrastructure including pavements,, airside infrastructure , terminal buildings ,water and drainage systems and landside down roads and infrastructure
Consistency of reporting all activities on timely manners
Escalation of the major technical issues which present risk to air-side airport operations and non-compliance to regulations
Continuing review of the, procedures , task lists, inspection activities make it more efficient and relevant to the infrastructure and system used by the airport to fulfill regulatory requirement as per TCAA
Coordinate and supervise the installation, adjustment and commissioning of new infrastructures and buildings
Participate in the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) process to ensure new facilities are functional.
Create Contract packages for service level agreement for the civil infrastructures and buildings in the airport as per the maintenance and regulatory compliance needs
Initiate budget for corrective and preventive maintenance for the civil infrastructures and buildings
Identify spare parts required for civil infrastructures and buildings and architects
Stock monitoring and reporting physically and through CMMS
Raise payment request for services provider on time manner make sure payment done on time as per the contract terms and conditions
Close performance and quality management for assistant engineers, technicians and subcontractors and report any misconduct, non-conformity, propose and take disciplinary actions
Coordinate the activities of the departments with other relevant technical, operational departments and stakeholders
Ensure respect for company policies and procedures. And aviation regulations as per TCAA
Ensure work is implemented in safe regulatory manner and risk assessment is done and communicated prior to the work
Participate in the definition of the investment and maintenance plan and budget, for the upgrading, optimization and improvement of facilities and equipment under his/her responsibility.
Contribute to event reporting and safety risk analysis as part of the SMS.
Implement the preventive and corrective actions prescribed by the SMS within its scope of activity.
Communicate internally on the progress of maintenance work.
