We are seeking a motivated Site Supervisor to support in delivering a major rail project from concept to completion.

Your Role & Responsibilities :
The Site Supervisor supports the Construction Manager by providing site-based input throughout the full project lifecycle to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant construction delivery and commissioning
During the pre-construction phase, the role holder will contribute to the Reference Design by providing input on constructability, methodology, and phasing. At the tender stage, they will assist in the assessment of submissions.
During construction and commissioning, the Site Supervisor will ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, act as the primary liaison with contractors, and maintain transparent communication. The role includes assessing changes, engaging with stakeholders, and working collaboratively with contractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee construction inputs across all project lifecycle phases: planning, execution, and completion
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through regular meetings and timely resolution of safety concerns
- Ensure project elements are delivered on time and in accordance with specifications
- Collaborate with construction planners to enhance productivity and teamwork
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and key milestones
- Monitor progress and implement recovery plans where necessary
- Coordinate across functions to ensure effective resource allocation and adherence to timelines
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Conduct safety tours (SMART and Topical Assurance) and record findings in the Safety Management System
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure standards are met or exceeded
- Manage inspections of completed works and ensure readiness for formal inspection
- Track progress through site visits, comparing against programme milestones and contract documentation
- Provide accurate updates and reports to the project team and stakeholders
- Implement and manage Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) processes
- Assess and monitor contractor competency throughout all project phases
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractors
- Maintain clear and consistent communication on progress, risks, and resolutions
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions
- Undertake additional duties as required
