The Human Attended Live Observation (H.A.L.O.) Telemonitor Program is dedicated to remotely monitoring and ensuring the safety of patients. As a member of the Telemonitoring team, the Patient Observation Technician provides continuous observation & monitoring to patients who are identified as a safety risk.
As a member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to patients through remote communication channels. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Duties:
- Monitor patients remotely from our central command centre using advanced telemonitoring technology to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Communicate with patients through remote channels, offering reassurance, support, and assistance as required.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient observations and interactions.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and other technology platforms efficiently.
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of both the English and French languages at the professional level.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to address patient needs and concerns promptly.
- Effectively manage conflicts and navigate challenging situations that may arise during remote patient monitoring.
- Exhibit keen observation skills and meticulous attention to detail in identifying changes in patient behavior or condition.
- Provide empathy, understanding, and effective communication to patients in a remote setting.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, escalating critical situations for prompt response and resolution.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working different shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the organization's needs.
