Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Professional Practice, the Advanced Practice Nurse Educator (APNE) is an integral member of the interdisciplinary leadership team and demonstrates a set of core competencies fundamental to developing and maintaining the academic practice environment at UHN.
The APNE aligned with the 5A General Internal Medicine Inpatient Unit, Medical Day Unit, and Liver Clinic is part of the clinical program leadership team and Practice-Based Education team within the Collaborative Academic Practice portfolio. The role focuses on enhancing patient care by applying evidence-based practices, providing clinical consultation, and addressing gaps in practice.
The APNE is expected to demonstrate core competencies essential for advancing best practices at the point of care. They will collaborate with unit managers, fellow educators, and other stakeholders to support practice-based initiatives and clinical care projects.
