Job Summary
Working under the direction of the Allied Health & Outpatient Manager and in collaboration with other members of the outpatient Rehab Pain Service team, this casual social work position will support hours contingent on REB approval and confirmed grant funding
Duties
- Participate in Research activities including; Participant recruitment, administrative tasks and providing therapy to study participants.
- Collaborate in Research meetings to review study progress.
- Provide Pain Reprocessing Therapy sessions to patients with chronic low-back pain.
- PRT certification and minimum 2 years experience delivering PRT for people with chronic pain.
- Ability to deliver weekly 1-hour psychotherapy sessions on site.
- Deliver psychotherapy sessions while adhering to study methodology and fidelity requirements.
- Participate in team meetings (10 in total).
- Contribute to documentation of psychotherapy sessions in EPIC.
- Support research tasks as needed.
- Ability to transcribe sessions.
- Provide transcripts for research analysis.
- Collaboration with the inter-professional team.
- Compliance with and commitment to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients.
