Position Summary

Working under the direction of the Operational Manager and in collaboration with other members of the inter-disciplinary team, the Occupational therapist will assess and treat patients, delegate appropriate duties to OTA/ PTA, provide student supervision and maintain best practice standards in accordance with UHN policies and procedures. This position will primarily focus on the vascular and surgical oncology patient population.

Duties

• Provide quality occupational therapy services to patients at Toronto General Hospital within the framework of patient centered care
• Communicate effectively with members of the inter-professional team
• Provide education to patients, their families, occupational therapy students and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, committees and quality initiatives in the Department and relevant Programs/Services
• Assist with coverage of other service areas where required. The candidate will perform all other duties as required
