Wage Range: $41.15 - $58.98 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance to collective agreement requirements)
Hours: 22.5 Hours per Week
Shifts: Days/Nights
Status: Temporary Part-Time (12 Months Contract)

Position Summary
As a member of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) team, the Registered Nurse will practice in accordance with relevant legislation/standards, meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.
Duties
The principle responsibilities include:
- Assessment (systematically collecting data about the health of the patient for initial screening, on-going or selected in-depth assessment in order to determine diagnosis)
- Planning (identifying priorities, target dates, strategies or interventions in order to contribute to the individualized care plan and achieving optimal outcome for the patient)
- Implementation (safely and effectively performing the strategies and intervention directed by the care plan)
- Evaluation (systematically evaluating the extent to which the best possible outcomes have been achieved)
- Providing educational guidance to the patient group
- Documenting patient records
- Acting as patient advocate by protecting and promoting patient rights
- Performing other duties consistent with the job classification as required.
- In addition, following the provision of further continuing education by the unit’s educator, the CICU nurse will be responsible for caring for patients with invasive arterial and hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous veno-venous renal therapy dialysis, and much more
