Hours: Up to 24 hours per wee
Salary: $26.44 - $28.02 per hour. (Start rate: $26.44 per hour in accordance with collective agreement requirements)
Shifts: Sat/Sun/Stat Holiday 7:30-15:30 (Must be available to work a minimum of three (3) calendar days per week (weekdays) including days, evenings and nights.  Must be available to work every second (2nd) weekend including statutory holidays.
Status: Permanent Part Time

Position Summary

The Environmental Services Aide is an integral member of the Environmental Services department and performs duties in accordance with departmental and hospital standards of practice, policies, and procedures to ensure we provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Primary Duties

• Removing recyclables and garbage/waste from multiple locations; 
• Cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, etc.; 
• Performing floor care, within scope of authority, moving furniture and other items, as required; 
• Cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining Operating Rooms (O.R.) according to O.R. standards; 
• Cleaning and maintaining elevators and stairs; 
• Performing other duties in support of the Housekeeping function; 
• Works in compliance the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
