Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Professional Practice, the Advanced Practice Nurse Educator (APNE) is an integral member of the interdisciplinary leadership team, and demonstrates core competencies essential to developing and sustaining the academic practice environment at UHN.
The APNE aligned with the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU), is part of the Critical Care Leadership team and the Practice-Based Education team within the Collaborative Academic Practice Portfolio. This role focuses on enhancing patient care through evidence-based practice, clinical consultation, and identifying and addressing gaps in care delivery.
The APNE is expected to demonstrate core competencies essential for advancing best practices at the point of care. They will collaborate with unit managers, fellow educators, and other stakeholders to support practice-based initiatives and clinical care projects.
