As Supply Chain Manager Area Europe you ensure that stock levels across Area Europe are managed proactively, forward‑looking and in line with defined service levels. You create a measurable impact on working capital, delivery capability and operational stability by translating analyses into concrete actions and by establishing clear standards and governance routines in inventory management.
Main responsibilities
- Further development and roll out of inventory standards across the Area Europe
(e.g. target stock ranges, inventory health) - Establish and maintain a consistent Area‑wide overstock and shortage management system, including clear action and monitoring logic
- Support and coordinate cross‑area stock transfers according to defined rules and priorities, in close cooperation with Central Logistics
- Contribute to logistics network optimisations within the Area Europe
- Support further development of planning logic and ensure structured implementation in national subsidiaries
- Ensure effective planning outcomes by connecting planning concepts and execution realities
- Drive KPI‑based inventory management (e.g. service level, coverage, non‑utilisation rate, inventory health)
- Support in improving data quality and parameter discipline (master data, planning parameters, demand signals)
- Coordinate training activities, best‑practice sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across countries
- Coordinate and steer the bottleneck management process across Area Europe, including allocation of limited quantities in alignment with Sales
- Support excess and inventory reduction initiatives
- Collaborate closely with national organizations on inventory risks, write‑downs and scrapping decisions
- Cooperate with the Area Management Team Europe as well as relevant Corporate (HQ) functions
- Act as a role model and promoter of Umdasch Group principles, Doka strategy and compliance standards within Area Europe
