The MEP Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) coordination activities within the OTG scope of the OLS stations, ensuring full compliance with Mx Contract requirements and project standards.
This role supports seamless integration between MEP systems and Civil, Architectural, and RSSOM Systems by reviewing design documentation, leading spatial coordination efforts, and facilitating effective communication among multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 CAD - $120,000 CAD, plus additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Integration Manager in the coordination and management of MEP services across Civil, Architectural, and Rolling Stock System (RSSOM) interfaces.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports related to MEP Integration Management.
- Collaborate closely with the Construction Technical Office (CTO), BIM Coordinators, and Design Teams to align project deliverables.
- Liaise between BIM, Technical, and Construction teams to resolve coordination issues and support decision-making.
- Review and respond to MEP coordination-related comments on design documents and subcontractor shop drawings.
- Conduct spatial coordination activities, including clash detection and reporting, ensuring alignment with applicable standards and project requirements.
- Participate in weekly MEP Integration meetings with subcontractors and CTO representatives.
- Review RSSOM Federated BIM Models and perform clash detection analysis to ensure system compatibility.
- Prioritize multidisciplinary coordination efforts (MEP, Civil, Architectural) in collaboration with site teams.
- Focus on MEP routing and problem-solving in highly congested areas such as corridors and technical rooms.
- Develop typical coordination sections with support from the BIM Team.
Review and comment on subcontractors’ Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and other relevant documents. - Log, track, and follow up on MEP issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Mitigate MEP clashes while respecting Civil and Architectural constraints and site conditions.
- Coordinate and verify MEP openings in structural elements and partition walls to maintain design integrity.
