The SEM/TBM Surveyor will support the tunneling operations on the Ontario Line South project. This role will be responsible for providing accurate survey data to ensure the successful alignment and construction of the tunnel, whether using the Sequential Excavation Method (SEM) or Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). This position requires flexibility, including the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $95,000 CAD, plus additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precise surveys for SEM and TBM tunneling operations, including setting out work, alignment control, and monitoring.
- Accurately collect and process survey data to ensure compliance with project specifications, design requirements, and surveying standards.
- Provide alignment control for the TBM, ensuring that the tunnel follows the designed path and meets all required tolerances.
- Conduct quality checks on all survey data to ensure it meets project standards. Report any discrepancies to the Survey Manager or Senior Surveyor.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GNSS receivers, and laser scanning equipment. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all survey data, including field notes, digital data, and reports.
- Ensure that all documentation is easily accessible to the project team.
- Work closely with the construction team, including engineers, supervisors, and TBM operators, to provide accurate and timely survey data.
- Provide essential support to the team by working rotating shifts, including nights, to ensure uninterrupted tunneling operations. Flexibility and adaptability are key to meeting the dynamic demands of this project.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring that all survey activities are conducted safely and in compliance with OTG's safety standards.
