This Electrical Designer is responsible for supporting the development and execution of electrical systems and control panel designs for our manufacturing operations. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating electrical design packages, selecting components, preparing detailed schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is carried through to production.
Preference for candidate to work onsite in West Chester, PA. Additional consideration for remote candidates with exceptional and relevant experience.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Create designs specific to low voltage and medium voltage switchgear assemblies/systems per industry standards.
- Work under the supervision of electrical engineers to develop electrical schematics, panel layout, and wiring diagrams that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and project requirements.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings.
- Follow and develop standard design processes and documentation to improve quality and efficiency in engineering design.
- Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and revise existing designs to improve manufacturability, cost, or performance.
- Support project management, manufacturing and field service groups on design related issues for smooth project flow.
- Maintain standard parts databases and electrical and layout symbols library.
- Create record / as built drawings based on production -testing markups.
- Maintain proper version control and documentation.
