Our Mclymont Laydown Heli-Port serves as a critical hub for exploration firms, managing high-volume helicopter support, external loads, fueling, and freight in Northwestern BC's demanding terrain. We seek a seasoned Heli-Port Manager to uphold our commitment to zero-harm safety, operational excellence, and seamless collaboration in this FIFO seasonal role (April-October 2026).

Key Responsibilities
- Lead safe helicopter external load operations: Coordinate slinging of freight and Turtle-Pacs (700-850L fueling), inspect straps/clevises/bladders, monitor lifts for level stability, and ensure clear landing/pickup zones with escape paths.
- Oversee fueling from 75K L diesel/50K L jet tanks via cardlock; prevent spills, conduct defueling, and respond per CARs/TDG/WHMIS protocols, no hot refueling.
- Manage laydown logistics: Freight sorting/staging, Zoomboom ops, FOD removal, daily hazard inspections, visitor direction, and reporting to Terrace HQ.
- Enforce compliance around multiple aircraft; collaborate with pilots, crews, and clients for hazard-free, efficient heli-support.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in helicopter external load ops and heli-port management; physically fit for hands-on Turtle-Pac transfers and active site duties.
- Valid industrial endorsements (Zoomboom/telehandler); safety training (CARs, TDG, WHMIS); remote ops background.
- Detail-oriented with strong admin (BOL reconciliation, inventory checklists).
Preferred Assets
- Helicopter pilot license or prior heliport / aviation supervisory experience
- Proficiency in aviation radio communications (multi-frequency / airband radio operations)
- Experience in aviation management within mining or exploration environments; familiarity with remote FIFO logistics
- Mining and exploration experience, particularly in drilling, logistics, and remote operations, is an asset
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification or experience is an asset
