Camp Kitchen Attendant

Job Requirements:

In this role, MATRIX is seeking an experienced Camp Kitchen Attendant for our remote camps located in British Columbia. You are team oriented, motivated, and have a high attention for details, accuracy and can prioritize tasks. You will play a key role at one of our remote exploration camps by performing all primary responsibilities in a timely manner independently. This position reports to the Camp Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.
• Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
• Practice good housekeeping in the work area at all times.
• Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
• Perform dish washing as per Food Safety Plan.
• Perform cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces, equipment and small wares as per the Food Safety Plan and Covid protocols.
• Support food safe storage and labeling of potential food allergy items.
• Ensure food storage areas are organized.
• Clean and sanitize Dry Area

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum of three (2) years working in a remote camp as a Camp/Kitchen Attendant
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with attention to detail.
• Ability to work a rotation schedule.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Able to lift and move heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
• Able to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 – 12 hour shift.
• Availability to start immediately or on short notice.

This position is working on a rotational 3 Weeks in 3 Weeks out schedule (Fully Remote). Preference will be given to candidates that live in or around Terrace British Columbia.
