Job Description:

This job would entail performing the following tasks:

Performing visual inspections and maintenance as needed of landfill for compliance with applicable permit conditions
Operation, Maintenance, and Monitoring of pump and treat and other types of remediation and leachate conveyance systems
Mowing and maintenance of landfill cap and drainage areas
Multimedia sampling that includes proficiency in groundwater, soil, surface water, sediments, and air sampling.
Remediation construction and drilling oversight on project sites.
Waste management and tracking
Work with data management and project management teams to ensure data is managed properly

Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. Degree or specialized training is preferred in a technical field (such as Environmental Science, Biology, or geology) but community college or other accredited trainings may be substituted.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and/or current 8-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Annual Refresher preferred
OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction Training

Key Experience Requirements:

Travel as needed across North America with the potential to work out of town between several days to a few weeks
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to think strategically and intellectually and work within project budgets
Excellent organizational skills
Familiarity with sampling techniques, equipment, and demonstrate mechanical skills in troubleshooting
Liaise with project team members and managers
Work independently in a virtual environment
