Your role as a Social Worker
Dialogue is looking for a Social Worker to take part in our mission to help people improve their well-being. Reporting to Etienne Bolze, Manager, Mental Health Therapists and Psychotherapists, your role will be to empower our patients to talk openly about their mental health and create an environment free of judgment.
Our Social Workers are licensed and trained mental health counselling professionals. They hold a Master's degree in Mental Health or Human Relations (e.g., Social Work, Psychoeducation, Sexology, Occupational Therapy, Career Counselling, etc.), and belong to a professional order and/or college.
As a Social Worker, you will provide high-impact, short-term psychosocial interventions designed to empower clients through a goal-oriented framework.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct virtual sessions for clients with mental health symptoms.
- Follow up with clients to ensure progress in their care path with Dialogue.
- Deliver evidence-based care in a collaborative environment, prioritizing emotional stabilization, safety, and the cultivation of psychosocial resilience.
- Equip members with practical coping strategies and Solution-Focused interventions to effectively navigate acute stressors and improve daily functioning.
- Partner closely with our internal case managers and clinical teams to ensure a holistic, seamless support system for every member.
- Maintain a vigilant focus on member safety within all clinical interactions, ensuring ethical standards and crisis protocols are strictly followed.
- Collaborating with our Case Managers who assist you in your administrative tasks, such as booking appointments and finding resources or information
- Actively contribute to the evolution of our care standards, ensuring that every intervention meets the highest benchmarks of clinical excellence.
- You will be responsible for patient safety in your member-facing role.
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- A Master’s degree in Social Work Mental Health or Human Relations (e.g., Social Work, Psychoeducation, Sexology, Occupational Therapy, Career Counselling, etc.)
- Maintain a valid and active membership in the Social Worker professional order for your province (e.g., OTSTCFQ, OASW).
- Multiple provincial licensing is considered a significant asset
- 2+ years of relevant experience in clinical mental health
- Strong proficiency in conducting psychosocial assessments and a deep understanding of mental health disorders and their systemic impacts.
- Demonstrated affinity for short-term therapy; specific experience in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is considered a significant asset.
- Experience with single session-model (an asset)
- Previous experience with, or a high degree of comfort in, delivering high-quality care via telemedicine platforms.
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours (up to 32 hours) per week, including a flexible rotation of days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ease with modern computer tools and a desire to work within an innovative, fast-paced health-tech environment.
