The Opportunity
This isn't your average warehouse job. As Cozey's first hire in Australia, you'll be part of a founding team building our fulfillment operations from the ground up at our South Granville facility. You'll work directly alongside our Country Manager, tech specialist and Operations Clerk, in the early weeks to set up systems, receive our first containers, and establish the processes that will define how Cozey operates in Australia for years to come.
If you're the kind of person who thrives on variety, loves checking off a mix of big-picture projects and hands-on tasks, and wants to leave their fingerprints on something new, this role was built for you.
What you'll be doing
Fulfillment Centre Setup & Early Days
You’ll play a key role in bringing Cozey’s new fulfillment centre to life. In the first weeks, you’ll help build the foundation for smooth, safe, and scalable operations.
- Support the setup of the warehouse space, including racking, packing stations, labelling areas, and safety signage
- Receive and process Cozey’s first inbound containers, helping establish clear and reliable receiving procedures
- Contribute to the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for core warehouse activities
Day-to-Day Operations
- Unload containers and safely handle merchandise by placing items onto pallets.
- Actively contribute to the organization and optimization of the warehouse, including sorting, inventory counts, and space improvements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment on a daily basis.
- Receive, sort, and inspect returned items to ensure quality standards are met and items are restocked when applicable.
- Prepare orders with attention to detail, including picking merchandise and printing/applying shipping labels.
- Work closely with the warehouse operator, Customer Happiness Managers, and the Operations team to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
- Support various warehouse-related tasks as needed, based on operational priorities.
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- 1–2+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment.
- A valid HRW Forklift Licence (LF class, NSW): this is essential for the role
- Ability to work physically for extended periods (standing, lifting up to 49 lbs / 22 kg, working in variable temperatures).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes consistently.
- Comfort working with inspections, quality checks, and basic documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in quality control, returns processing, or furniture handling is a plus.
- Experience in small teams or start-up environments is a plus.
- A builder mindset where you’re energized by startup environments, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to create and improve processes, not just follow them
