Role Overview
The EHS manger is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of our EHS programs at our Loveland, Ohio facility. This position will work closely with site leadership and local functions to build a strong EHS culture and processes to enable a fast growing innovative company, supporting engine component testing, additive manufacturing, casting, and support laboratories. The right candidate must have strong problem solving and communication skills, a proven background in developing and effectively managing EHS programs in research and development or testing environments.
What You'll Do...
- Champion proactive safety initiatives such as hazard identification programs, safety observations, risk assessments, and employee engagement efforts to prevent injuries and improve overall site safety performance
- Independently identify, characterize, and mitigate risks at the Beehive Loveland facility
- Interact and partner directly with site and functional leadership in the development and execution of focused EHS initiatives and objectives
- Build and support a strong safety culture through leadership to front line operators
- Perform investigations into the root cause of injuries, events, and near misses. Ensure appropriate actions are taken to correct and prevent recurrence of unsafe conditions and/or behaviors
- Build and deliver effective EHS training to site employees
- Write, implement, and manage EHS and programs, policies and procedures
- Responsible for regulatory compliance of all local, state, and federal requirements and interact with regulators and key stakeholders as applicable to the Knoxville operations
- Effectively manage manufacturing byproducts including Hazardous Waste; prioritizing compliance, waste and cost minimization
- Collaborate closely with site team on change management projects
You have...
- A BS degree in Occupational, Health & Safety Sciences or similar
- A Minimum of 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or R&D environment
- Experience with additive manufacturing, engine testing, or casting processes a plus
- Proven experience with process or program management
- Dynamic and active communicator with strong collaboration skills
- Technical document writing a plus
- Broad knowledge of regulatory and consensus standards including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, UL; and the ability to research and translate to business impact
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
