As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to strengthen our Technical Department, being responsible for overseeing the technical performance and reliability of all Hotels within the Group’s portfolio.
Position Summary
The role is to ensure that all Group’s facilities, equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely and in alignment with brand standards and guest expectations. The Maintenance Manager will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, monitor operational costs, and will oversee the Technical Departments of each of the Group’s hotels ensuring consistence, compliance and continuous improvement.
She/he tracks the cost and progress of maintenance and projects so the company knows the state of the plant and when something needs repair. Inspects the preventive maintenance process, takes care of and repairs electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and air conditioning problems. She/He is responsible for planning and coordinating projects, as well as overseeing multiple teams.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Develop, implement and improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs across all properties
- Conduct regular inspections of the Group’s facilities, systems and resolve issues
- Plan, coordinate, supervise all maintenance repair, refurbishment and upgrade works
- Lead and manage Maintenance Teams across all hotel units
- Monitor and control Maintenance budgets
- Manage procurement of materials, spare parts, equipment and ensuring optimal inventory levels
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants and service providers
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and policies
- Planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- Master’s degree in a related field will be considered an additional qualification
- Minimum of 10 yrs experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector
- Excellent knowledge of technical specifications, safety standards, and environmental management practices
- Experience in Project Management Methodology
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
- Excellent Technical knowledge of Building Systems (MEP, HVAC, BMS etc.)
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing and validating maintenance budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking
- Familiar with Greek Regulations and Norms
