The Legal Counsel in this role is expected to provide practical, business-oriented legal support across a range of regulatory and operational matters. This includes advising on compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, DSA), reviewing and drafting legal documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams on day-to-day legal queries.
In addition, the role involves active participation in operational legal processes, including handling platform-related requests, supporting moderation and enforcement workflows, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of legal tasks. Given the nature of the business, a combination of advisory and hands-on involvement is essential.
The position requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to balance legal judgment with operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative and team-oriented approach is fundamental, including actively supporting colleagues, aligning with team priorities, and contributing constructively to shared objectives and workload distribution.
Give accurate and timely counsel in a variety of commercial topics (Digital Services Act, Audio-visual Media Services Directive, Online Safety Act, DAC7, GDPR, labor law, corporate law etc.)
Handle operational legal processes (e.g. GDPR, Intellectual Property, DMCA)
Support and assist the Operations Team Lead and Chief Legal Officer on any ad hoc tasks, depending on the needs of the department;
Review/amend/ prepare legal documents and online terms and conditions
Assisting with international compliance and regulatory issues
Collaborating with external legal counsel on jurisdiction-specific matters, including litigation, enforcement and license applications
Communicating and advising various departments on a daily basis and assist with safeguarding the company from legal risks
Support and assist the Support and Moderation function when required to ensure platform safety and compliance
Efficiently handle the legal admin work that naturally comes with these professional duties
