Guest Safety Manager
At Fairmont Century Plaza, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our Colleagues, guests and visitors is an integral part of our operation. You are attentive, efficient and committed, and your leadership will ensure your property remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination. You will train all colleagues and officers on all aspects of security and safety.
What you will be doing:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the Security department
- Ensure overall guest and Colleague safety through the implementation and review of hotel-wide security measures
- Act as a liaison within the community and policing forces to maintain awareness of current security issues
- Be knowledgeable in the use of all security equipment, i.e. radios, cameras, electronic lock systems and report any safety, security and/or fire hazards or violations
- Actively participate in the design and execution of the Emergency Preparedness Plan
- Assist to lead a team of Security agents via strong performance management
- Ensure the safety and security of our guests, employees, assets and facilities by conducting regular patrols
- Conduct monthly key audits and safety audits as requested
- Rendering First-Aid to guests and employees as required by internal guidelines.
- Ensure all incidents are documented as required by internal guidelines.
- Assist to manage the departmental budget
- Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
