- Design, prepare, and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet established quality standards and specifications
- Develop and innovate new pastry recipes and menu items while maintaining consistency with established culinary standards
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry kitchen personnel, ensuring they adhere to proper techniques, hygiene standards, and professional conduct
- Maintain meticulous control over food quality by checking taste, temperature, visual appeal, and portion sizes of all pastry items
- Implement and enforce strict food safety and hygiene protocols, including HACCP standards, to prevent contamination and ensure safe food handling practices
- Manage inventory, storage, and procurement of pastry ingredients and supplies in a hygienic and organized manner, minimizing waste and controlling costs
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and stored according to established procedures
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen team and management to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry station
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety, health, security, and loss control policies, as well as relevant government legislation
- Maintain exceptional personal hygiene and appearance standards at all times
- Attend all required briefings, meetings, and professional development trainings
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall kitchen operations
