About the role
In this role you will:
Prepare and present food items for a la carte, buffet, and pastry services to high standards
Mise-en-place & Service: Prepare all ingredients before service, ensuring the station is organized, stocked, and efficient.
Mixing, preparing and baking bread, pastries and other baked goods for café and Te Kaahu Restaurant services (breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Assist Executive Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service.
Liaise with Restaurant team members regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of the kitchen at all times
Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs
Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
Stay updated with the latest food trends and contribute creatively to menu development
