Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Mission Assurance Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Program Mission Assurance (MA) Engineer to provide support to our Roy, Utah Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Team.
Qualified candidate will support MA functions to ensure mission success.
Technical reviews of all SDS drawings, SOW’s, and requirements documents, as required.
Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of SDS achievements.
Assesses SDS performance and risks then determines resources to ensure mission assurance.
Assist the Program Quality Managers with all SDS Mission Assurance /Program Management requirements.
Develop, implement and maintain the SDS Program Quality Plans.
Lead and facilitate SDS program failure review boards ensuring identification of root cause and proper implementation of corrective actions.
Assist managers in preparation and execution of Program Preventive and Corrective Action Board (PCAB).
Develop and maintain SDS Program Metrics.
Assist in the preparation of the Program Management Program Review packages.
Support managers with SDS Customer Corrective Action Requests.
Support SDS in Conditional Acceptance requirements and flow down.
Monitor timely closure of Conditionally Accepted hardware and work corrective actions
collaboratively with a team.
Acceptance of functional and integrated test events.
Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree and 8 years of Quality experience; OR a Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience; OR PhD Degree and 4 years of experience.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience in developing and implementing Mission Assurance or Quality Assurance plans.
Experience quality management systems to support program processes, audits, and/or improvement.
Experience with manufacturing and test labs quality assurance processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Experience with Mission Assurance Engineering and Quality Engineering practices
Experience in Missile Systems/Sub-Systems design, construction, or sustainment
Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for overall program and segments
A current/Active Top-Secret clearance
Leadership experience within manufacturing and engineering environments.
Experience with manufacturing, quality controls, inspection and/or non-conformance controls.
Provide guidance to others and interface with varying levels of management and customers.
