Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Agile Release Train (ART) Product Manager – Level 5 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The job location is at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Position Overview:
The Staff Agile Release Train (ART) Product Manager – Level 5 will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Threat and Advanced Simulation Development (TASD) contract, performing as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Manager within the Threat Products and Services (TPS) ART. The TPS ART offers opportunities to support the U.S. Department of War through the development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) software products and the production of threat missile simulation data used to support various Missile Defense Agency Ground Test and exercise events.
The Staff Agile Release Train (ART) Product Manager – Level 5 will be experienced in product and project management and will have excellent customer relationship management skills.
Essential Functions:
- Will lead two Agile software development teams, and three teams dedicated to developing threat missile simulation requirements, models and resulting data.
- Will guide the roadmap and vision for the TPS ART to include software modernization and acceleration of threat simulation development and delivery capabilities.
- Primary responsibilities include developing requirements, prioritizing the ART backlog, and designing future capabilities.
- Will require coordination across threat data user communities to design and deploy new features and enhancements to TPS products.
- Interface with various customers and presenting technical briefings to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline preferred and 12 years of related experience; or Master’s degree and 10 years of experience; or PhD and 8 years of experience.
- Applicants must have an active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret clearance at the time of application and is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
- Minimum of 2 years of specific experience with missile defense systems, threat missile modeling, or related M&S domains.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams (e.g., software development, systems engineering, or M&S).
- Experience overseeing the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from design to deployment and sustainment.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies, including managing, prioritizing, and maintaining an ART or program-level work backlog.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with experience delivering technical briefings to customers and product stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or demonstrable advanced proficiency in SAFe environments.
- Advanced proficiency with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence).
- Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (e.g., Cameo, SysML).
- Experience transitioning legacy software applications to cloud-native architectures or microservices.
- Experience managing data-heavy software products, including intelligence data processing, data pipelines, or analytics.
- Practical experience with Risk and Opportunity management, as well as Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Previous experience executing government defense contracts, specifically involving cross-community coordination to deploy new capabilities.
Primary Level Salary Range: $161,000.00 - $241,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
